According to the label, this gel provides “temporary relief of pain and itching due to sunburn, insect bites, scrapes, minor burns and skin irritations and rashes due to poison oak, poison ivy, poison sumac and eczema.” WOW! But there’s more! The gel also gives relief to arthritis, bursitis and tendonitis, muscle cramps and just about every other pain due to over exertion or like me, just being old. Ha!
I’m always looking for ointments to treat the residual pain from surviving 18 rounds of chemo, 26 rounds of radiation and major surgery to remove the cancer in my colon. OUCH. I usually opt for CBD or THCA products, so this sativa oil based gel intrigued me, would it also get me high?
I went to ShowGrow in SanTana to purchase the Soothing Gel, the budtender was very nice, as always and asked if I’d like to try it out before I bought it, I hesitated but decided what the heck, I squeezed the tube and way too much came out, oops, I lathered my arms, face and legs with the gel and still had enough for my face. I had a few errands to run plus eat lunch so I monitored myself, but nope, there was no buzz whatsoever, although I did feel slightly relaxed, especially in my face. Since I didn’t get high I went ahead and applied more gel to my arms, the inside of my wrists and for good measure my forehead.
Still no high or buzz but a definite relaxing all over, not overpowering but similar to how you would feel after a deep massage. Just right. Later that day, I laid down and took a 3 hour nap. I did not see that coming: it must have been that second lathering that put me in a semi-coma. I woke up and was a little out of it but felt great. I highly recommend the Soothing Gel for overall relaxation from stress, anxiety and muscle aches and pain.
